Under supervision of clinic manager, provides preventive dental care and demonstrates good oral hygiene practices for patients with special needs including elders. Works closely with dentists and dental students to provide quality care to their patient population.

Experience working with people with special health care needs is required.
Thorough knowledge of the principles of Hygiene theory, technique, and practice.
Skill in the use of dental instruments and equipment.
Ability to wear and work inpersonal protective equipment.
Ability to follow oral and writtenin structions.
Ability to communicate effectively and give particular attention to patients individual needs.
Registered Dental Hygienist with current licensure by the State of Maryland
All candidatesmust be RDH and, or RDH, BS and CPR Certified andremain certified with renewal every two years thereafter.
Employees in this job class may be required toreceive immunization to prevent illness due to exposure to blood bornepathogens.
